The Presentation/Media Planning team is a key part of the overall Programming department, responsible for ensuring our global television channels are transmitted accurately, complying with all necessary legislation and using our promotional inventory to ensure audiences remain engaged. The team works closely with the editorial team to ensure our channel schedules are effective at reaching our audiences and delivering our targets.
Reporting to the On-Air Planning Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating, managing and timing the relevant components of the presentation schedule, delivering fully transmittable TV schedules ensuring they are accurate for transmission. The remit of the role will also include the opportunity to support our newly launched fast channels.
BBC Studios has regional offices located around the world including London, Johannesburg, Amsterdam, Paris, and Warsaw.
Main Responsibilities
As the Presentation & Media Planner, you will be responsible to coordinate, manage and time-up presentation schedules, ensuring to deliver fully transmittable TV schedules and transfer the programme schedules into the presentation schedules. Crucial to this role would be the ability to ensure programmes are accurately billed, versioned and logged.
You will also process check all Programme and Junction data required for the final Transmission Schedule as required. Working closely with Programme Managers and Media Planning to keep up to date with the promotional and navigational priorities for the channel and certifying schedules are optimised for promotional and commercial minutage, whilst accurately delivering promo media plans and maximizing the efficiency of airtime and promo effectiveness.
Pivotal to the success of this role will be the ability to manage promo and navigation make-lists, ensuring they are up to date, in addition to this, you will play a key part in managing re-bill and scheduling changes. You will be ensuring the required exports and imports are conducted and reach all relevant parties. This role will also require occasional out of hours cover.

Proficient knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office Suite is needed and an use of a channel management system or similar is desirable.
