Job description:
The role is to provide support for programming, marketing, business development and affiliate distribution activities, to bring a Return on Investment approach (performance vs. investment), to prepare complex ratings research reports and analyze audiences trends, to identify areas of growth and competitive advantage. This role incorporates cooperation with all departments to bring analytical skills and profitable approach to each area.
Main tasks:
• Provides support to Programming team to develop programming and counter-programming strategies
• To coordinate optimization of break’s line up strategy with Programming, Marketing and On Air teams
• Identify areas of efficiency growth for marketing communication and affiliate distribution activities
• Performs special projects and prepares reports for Business Development practices
• Create in-depth research analyses and performance reports; decide on the correct analytic approach(es)
• Gathers research materials and performs historical tracking of television programs in order to identify audiences gaps and provide insight in programming and market trends of television viewing
• Conduct research in response to specific requests (collect, summarize, analyze, and synthesize relevant data and information)
• Oversee preparation and review of reports in Excel using charts and graphs as well as PowerPoint presentations that analyze audiences; decide the best way to present the data
• Determines research needs, prepare ratings reports and other information to all departments
• Provides ad hoc analysis, ratings reports and other information to other regions on request
• Work as part of a team to create research solutions and tools
Requirements:
• Three year minimum proven experience on Research Analyst or similar position for thematic TV channel(s) or Free to Air channel(s)
• Must have knowledge of audiences research and ratings analysis techniques
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Nielsen data based software (Arianna, AdvantEdge)
• Proven experience in market research, ratings reports and TV viewership analysis
• Deep knowledge of TV market and TV audiences
• Very strong quantitative, analytic thinking and data mining skills
• Superior problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills
• Professional attitude and service orientation; superb team player
• TV enthusiast and TV content fan
• Strong multi-tasking abilities
• An excellent command of English both written and verbal
