Job summary
As a Social Media Journalist, you will be responsible for incorporating local social media strategies into our workflow. You will create and curate engaging content, manage social media channels, and drive audience engagement across various platforms. A good command of EU issues and news language is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing localized social media strategies, creating, editing, and sharing engaging content tailored to local audiences, and monitoring social media trends and audience engagement.
You will collaborate with newsroom and Brussels-based social media team to ensure the timely and accurate dissemination of news and analyse performance metrics to adjust strategies for optimized engagement.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a journalist or social media manager in a news organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Polish (near native – C) and fluent English (C1).
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and best practices.
- Proficient in content creation and editing software, graphic design, and multimedia production.
- Understanding of global news, current affairs, and geopolitical events.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and multitask effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Ethical and responsible approach to news reporting and content dissemination.
Contract information:
- Location: Warsaw
- Working hours: Full-time,from Monday to Friday
- Contract start date: October 2024
