BBC Studios Polska has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join the Warsaw-based Marketing Team working across the BBC business in Poland and CEE.
The role is a 6-month fixed-term contract covering a maternity leave, assisting in delivery of innovative 360-degree campaigns across a diverse range of content that engage audiences with the BBC content in the region. Although we are looking for a Polish speaker, we will be open to consider an application from an advertising or media professional from Ukraine
The Marketing team aims to make the BBC Channels and content more loved and chosen more by audiences and to grow its value for affiliate customers. The team works both on direct-to-consumer as well as business-to-business activations, building and maintaining great relationships with viewers and clients across different territories. We are responsible for the marketing strategies, compelling campaigns, audience engagement and making our audiences and clients feel differently about the BBC.
Main Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager and across the business to deliver the annual consumer and trade marketing campaigns for the BBC Channels in Poland and CEE with focus on driving viewership and commercial growth – working broadly across wide variety of genres, you will participate in brainstorms, develop roadmaps and briefs, work collaboratively in the agency pitching, provide admin support where needed, assist in executing the campaigns to the highest creative and editorial standards, provide relevant evaluations and reviews.
- Assist in developing and executing social media and digital strategy for the BBC Channels to nurture fan communities.
- Support distribution and content sales teams in delivering impactful pitches. Forge strong relationships with key affiliate clients while delivering effective and impactful trade activations.
- Track budget control and management of marketing spend approvals process in conjunction with the Marketing Manager.
- Manage administrative aspects of executing the marketing plans – be responsible for preparing documentation for internal approvals, collaboratively work on securing required legal support, ensure ongoing review of contracts in place and initiate delivery of regular reports
- Be responsible for merchandise production and distribution in line with the BBC guidelines and policies.
- Monitor competitor trends, ensuring that the marketing investment delivers optimum commercial return.

- has assisted or worked on multi-media complex campaigns and provided support on various levels - from finding agencies and the briefing stage, to executing, budget tracking and evaluating, someone who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty and is not afraid of fulfilling the admin tasks.
- Is experienced in or has natural affinity and passion for digital marketing and social media.
- Is an extremely well-organized person with high project management skills and is experienced in managing multiple projects at the same time.
- Is a proactive self-starter who does not need to be told what to do and will be trustworthy and resourceful in order to find solutions and make decisions.
- Is a strong communicator with the ability to establish and manage senior stakeholders relationships and an effective collaborator, who listens and transparently shares information across the business.
- Has a great passion and proven ability to innovate, try new things and explore new ways of reaching our hardest to reach audiences.
- Has general computing skills (excellent Excel and Powerpoint are a must), as well as an eye for the creative marketing design - is able to read brand guidelines, verify and proactively suggest changes to copy and artworks to achieve maximum impact in line with the styleguides.
- Speaks perfect English as the role requires ongoing contact with the UK teams and clients
- Demonstrates a good understanding of the TV industry in Poland and CEE
- Passion for great TV content and marketing is a must
