Music Administrator
Region: Warszawa
APL Publishing is looking for a motivated person to work as part of our Production Music production team. This position offers varied tasks with good growth opportunities. The person will be responsible for managing copyright registrations, metadata handling, music tagging, contract handling and other administrative tasks.
This position reports to the Label manager and will perform various tasks across numerous projects and processes within the functional remit of the team.
This position is for a person who is looking for a career in the music industry, and is eager to learn and grow for years. There is ample room for growth and advancement within the organization.
Job Functions:
- Perform registrations of works and recordings in international databases and company systems.
- Correct data errors and anomalies, provide research, and answer requests for business and financial information related to works and income from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Use research tools, database extraction, data management techniques to develop answers and perform calculations as required
- Handle dialogue and paperwork with composers and writers.
- Communicate with sub-publishers and handle royalty statements and distributions
- Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required in response to changing business requirements

Skills/Abilities:
- Fast and accurate data-entry with attention to detail and understanding of how that data affects the value-chain
- The ability to identify issues and propose and implement solutions in response to day-to-day challenges within the role
- Capable of learning how to perform research and analysis of issues to provide useful information and insight
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel with the ability to learn customised systems, data management and comparison via Excel would be an advantage
- A collaborative team member able to work with team leader, management and creative colleagues
- Responsible, dedicated and growth oriented both as an individual and for the company as a whole
- Professional approach and communications skills both internally and externally
- Team oriented and goal oriented
- Adaptable to company processes and managements style.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed
- Proficiency in written and oral English.
Experience and appreciated skills:
- Experience from the Music industry, publishing, label management or data handling is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Musical understanding and knowledge about musical terms and genres
- Musical background is appreciated, be it as a musician, producer, writer or other.
- German would be an advantage
Working hours
This is a full-time position, 40 hours a week, employment contract (umowa o pracę)
