Music Administration Assistant
APL Publishing ApS is a Danish music company with a focus on delivering music for TV and film productions, offering a vast catalog of music to numerous clients worldwide.
For our office in Warsaw we are looking for a motivated person to work as a part of our library music production team. This position offers varied tasks with good growth opportunities. Main responsibilities include music administration, including tagging, copyright registrations, metadata handling and music distribution.
This in an entry-level position for a person who is looking to start a career in the music industry, and is eager to learn and grow for years. This is an opportunity to learn about music publishing, data and royalties. There is ample room for growth and advancement within the organization. The chosen candidate will receive a full training of APL processes.
Job Functions:
- Perform registrations of works and recordings in international databases and company systems.
- Tag new tracks and catalogs of APL and its business partners.
- Handle a portion of dialogue and paperwork with composers and writers.
- Communicate with sub-publishers and handle distributions
- Prepare and handle metadata across various platforms
- Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required in response to changing business requirements
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in written and oral English
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Fast and accurate data-entry with attention to detail and understanding of how that data affects the value-chain
- Passion for music, ability to identify the most important trends in the music market
- Ability to identify issues and suggest possible solutions
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel with the ability to learn customized systems
- Experience in the music industry or previous data-related experience would be a plus, but is not a requirement
- Musical background as a musician, producer, writer or other would be a plus
This is a full time, entry level position (40 hours a week), employment contract (umowa o pracę). The employment contract is going to be signed with a foreign employer (Denmark).
This is an on-site job in an office in Warsaw, hybrid type possible later on.
